Perhaps a historical perspective would be helpful.
As I've told you before through these past ages I've communicated with humanity in the way you could understand with the technology available at the time.
That usually involved choosing a human to communicate with in the hopes he'd keep it straight and share the message with as many souls as possible.
It didn't always work out that way. Usually the person I'd choose would share the message as I told it.
The problems arose when the people he told it to would say something like, 'this is really good stuff we ought to write all it down and share it with the whole world'.
Where did you get all this? You say God told you this? He chose you to hear his word?
Then our tribe must be chosen by God to spread His word to the whole world!'
Their world being at that time their tribe and the surrounding tribes usually competitors.
You can substitute kingdom, nation, empire for tribe if you want to the principle is the same.
So they'd write it down if someone could read and write or they'd repeat it over and over and try to memorize it. Well you know what happens over time most of the good stuff gets lost or changed and extra stuff gets added in. t's just human nature believe Me I know. I've seen it a thousand times.
