You know ever since I created humanity I've loved you as a group and each of you on a personal basis.
It has been difficult to reach you sometimes.

What you probably don't realize is that while I celebrate your many accomplishments, acts of love and self sacrifice I do suffer when you hurt each other.

Over the years, I've tried to use the technology available at the time to convince you to live your lives in a manner that will cause less pain to yourselves and others. The natural system on planet Earth causes enough pain already without humans adding to the problem.

So anyway, you remember the stone tablets and the Ten Commandments? That was what was available back then and the best I could do at the time.

(They still apply by the way, more on that subject later.) I thought I'd set down some rules of the road for living peacefully with others.

I gave Moses the basic general stuff carved into portable stone tablets. Actually it was pretty effective and has helped a lot over the years, at least for those who obey them.
